Bonitas opened in October 1988. Over the past 22 years the business has developed from its original concept of serving fabulous coffee and innovative food to the people of Nowra and the Shoalhaven.

Bonitas Catering now provides on site and pick up catering for all manner of functions. Our clientele includes corporate catering for both government departments and local businesses, to weddings and other celebrations in interesting locations.

We are based at the Butterfactory Restaurant at Pyree (on the Greenwell Point Road) so please call us to arrange an appointment to discuss your catering needs.

Dear Andrew,

Melissa and I have just returned from our honeymoon, and find ourselves back up on the South Coast for another wedding.

We have had much time to reflect and discuss our wonderful wedding day which brings me to extend a huge platter of thanks to you Andrew, and your staff at Bonitas for providing us with a superbly catered event. It is no exaggeration to say that we have had dozens of comments and feedback from our guests commenting on how good the food was with particular respect to the main dishes of lamb and salmon. Most of our guests were from Melbourne and are self confessed 'foodies', and included restauranteurs, sommelliers, and chefs that were equally impressed with the quality of the meals served. Personally, the lamb did it for me and was cooked to perfection, but there were just as many comments about the salmon also. The fact that all of our guests were able to have both was also a credit to you guys, and a treat for all.

We've all been to dozens of weddings and I might be considered slightly biased (this being my own wedding), but like many have told me, the food was the best that we have ever had at a wedding. That you were able to serve restaurant quality food to 100+ guests at roughly the same time was exceptional and a credit to you.

Unfortunately i didn't get to sample much of the entrees due to the incessant photography demands, but as for the dessert table worked a treat with all the fabulous selections and I must confess to returning to that divine chocolate tart on more than one occasion. (Where can I get some of this please) It was superb and I don't know how many people I must have asked if they'd tried it and sent them off to get some, which of course worked to my own detriment as it quickly disappeared.

Finally, the bonus roasted leg ham you brought out toward the end of the night was definitely a surprise treat and eagerly received and a great thought on your behalf. Greatly appreciated later in the night, as well as at our bbq get together the next day.

So to you Andrew, and your staff at Bonitas I can't thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day so perfect. The quality of food and service was above and beyond anything we would have dared imagined, and I cannot recommend you more highly to anyone you care to share this with.
